Bank Support Worker
NWPC are currently recruiting bank workers to help cover holidays and sickness, so hours will vary.
You will be working within a hostel, supporting clients with a variety of issues such as mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour.
You will be responsible for providing support and ensuring both the service users and the unit remains safe.
Your role will consist of:
- providing a welcoming service to all hostel service user and other callers.
- supporting and encouraging each Service User to maintain a clean and safe environment, along with practical life skills.
- managing the immediate support needs, and sometimes, providing crisis intervention.
- spending time talking to the service user and providing informal support and motivation.
It is essential that you will have a non-judgmental and supportive approach to assisting single homeless and vulnerable adults, and have experience and knowledge of Health, Housing and Work issues facing service users
We have the following pay grades:
£9 per hour for days
£8.60 per hour for waking nights

This role requires an enhanced DBS, a portable online DBS is desirable, but not essential. The applicant will be required to pay for their DBS check but this cost will be refunded by the company upon successful completion of probation period.
